Muskingum University has counseling services that students are able to use for free anytime that there are office hours.
Located on the ground floor of Montgomery Hall in Suite 3, Director of Counseling Services Tracy Bugglin and Counselor Jessica Brady are there to help any student in need of talking to someone to solve any problems they may have.
“There are times when we all feel overwhelmed, stressed, or confused,” said Bugglin. “The Counseling Services at Muskingum University are here to help you deal with these concerns as well many others. For example, we provide professional help in the following areas: Psychological issues, Personal concerns, Interpersonal issues, and Conflict intervention services.”
Counseling services are there for any student who may need to talk to someone to overcome any problem they may be facing. They want to help every student become successful students in order to lead a successful life.
“Counseling Services assists students in overcoming personal, emotional, and psychological issues that may negatively impact their ability to reach their academic goals and to make the most of their experience at Muskingum University,” said Bugglin. “Our goal is to support students as they acquire the skills, knowledge, and resources to succeed academically and pursue satisfying and productive lives.”
The counseling services are always willing to help students at any time. They can help with school stress, family problems, anxiety, relationship issues, deaths of loved ones, and many more things that college students may face in their everyday lives. They will get students in at the earliest possible time to help them solve their problems quickly and effectively.
“Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and after hours by appointment,” said Bugglin. “You will be scheduled an appointment at the earliest possible time.”
One helpful part of counseling services is that counseling does not cost students a penny out of their pocket.
“Any full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student, who is currently enrolled at Muskingum University, may utilize our services,” said Bugglin. “Services are free and confidential.”
All meetings with counselors are confidential and speaking to a counselor has no effect on a student’s personal academic record.
To schedule an appointment with the counselors, email firstname.lastname@example.org. They recommend sending a copy of the class schedule to them in order to schedule around classes and to speed up the scheduling process. They can also be reached by phone at (740) 826-8091 or (740) 826-8142.
