Homecoming is a week for students and alumni to come together and celebrate their school and life here—past and present. This year's Homecoming theme is Road Trip.

"It's a chance for alumni to come home," said Director of Alumni Relations Jennifer Bronner. "We are hoping they will take the road trip to come back to campus."

The "Road Trip" theme was originally chosen by the alumni office and taken up by the student committee to present a united theme.

"Our alumni are typically taking a road trip back to Muskingum, and our students are on the road trip of their college experience," said Guerard.

For the alumni there will be four reunions this year. The class of 1991's 20th, the class of 1996's 15th, the class of 2001's 10th and the class of 2006's fifth. For the alumni there will be a 5 k fun run and a breakfast in which four alumni will get inducted into the Muskingum Hall of Fame. However, the names of these people are kept secret until

the time of the breakfast.

"Homecoming is just a time for alumni and students to get together and celebrate their school," said Director of Judicial Affairs and Orientations Kerry Guerard.

Guerard is overseeing homecoming this year and in charge of the general aspects of homecoming. For homecoming weekend there are several events planned, starting with a bonfire on Oct. 19.

"Just some general spirit kickoff to homecoming," said Guerard.

The "spirit kickoff" at the bonfire will be followed on Oct. 21 with the Varsity Revue talent show, during which the homecoming king and queen will be crowned.

On Oct. 22 there will be three events, starting with a parade, then a football game, and ending with Muskingum University after Dark—a small tent party.

These events are an annual occurrence and are usually fun for students, alumni, and faculty.
