While students were at home enjoying their break, the Muskies were busy on the court and on the mat taking care of business.
The Lady Muskies started their winter break off with a tournament win in Las Vegas, defeating Dubuque and Benedictine Universities en route to claiming the Las Vegas Hoopla crown.
Following the win in Las Vegas, the Ladies fell to Otterbein University with a score of 71-57 at home.
Coming out of break, the Ladie Muskies held a record of 6-7.
The men went 3-3 over the holiday break, with wins against Mount Union, OSU-Lima and Otterbein University. At the conclusion of winter break, Coach Ford's squad sat at 5-9 and 2-5 in OAC play.
The Muskingum University wrestling team finished ninth in the 12-team field at the Waynesburg University Invitational on Saturday.
In their first match since Dec. 8, the Muskies were led by Luke Weber with a third place finish in the 197-weight class. He finished the day with a 3-1 record and two falls. Ronnie Hepner followed closely, finishing fourth in the 165- weight class. He ended the day with a record of 3-2 and three pins.
Muskingum competes next at the Lycoming College National Duals on Jan. 13 through 14 at 9 a.m.
