The New Concord Christmas parade had to be postponed for this Monday due to the rain. According to Martha Martin at the Village Board, the parade has been rescheduled for Monday, December 5 at 6:30. The tree-lighting will take place at 6:00, at the tree in front of the elementary school. The local businesses and shops will be open throughout the parade and afterwards, in order to offer small treats and holiday deals. This tree-lighting and parade are a traditional, annual event to bring the community closer for the holiday season and spread some cheer. So join local residents, students, and friends from out of town Monday, December 5 for the annual tree-lighting and parade.
