On Sept. 27 EA Sports will release the new soccer video game FIFA 12. According to ea.com, FIFA 12 has had revolutionary changes and is even more engaging to play.  Recently, FIFA 12 has surpassed another one of EAs most popular games, Madden NFL 12, by having more preorders for the 2012 edition. Game Stop is known for their expertise in the gaming world.

"I have never seen or played a more realistic game then FIFA, and I don't think anyone could dislike it," said Zanesville Game Stop cashier Richard Phils.

Phils with 3 years of experience at Game Stop stated he hasn't seen this kind of excitement for a sports game in a while.

"It's amazing how many people come in to preorder FIFA after school hours and work hours," Phils commented.

FIFA won the "Best Sports Game Award" at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angles.

"I've never seen anyone play FIFA and not enjoy it… you sometimes see the older adults sharing just as much excitement as the kids," said Phils.

FIFA has many new features in game play which increases its realistic qualities. It has a new camera angle that allows full vision of the pitch, which increases the gameplay and allows it to flow much quicker.

Other modifications to the FIFA12 edition allow the player more personal skill because the gamer has complete control of not only offense but also defensive play as well.

"That I have noticed, the newest edition is the defensive play… It takes skill to actually time the tackles in this game," said Vicenzeo Buzette.

In FIF11, the defensive game play was simpler, and in FIFA 12 the gamer has more control of his defensive player's action. For example, the gamer has to manually control the timing of his standing tackles, and the position of the defensive player on the ball. To make the game even more realistic FIFA 12 has developed a full contact play. Players react physically to other players in a more realistic manner, which makes the game more exciting and interactive.

"This is a game I will never get tired of… at least [until] FIFA 13 comes out," Buzette stated.
