On Saturday Jan. 28, the Orbit Media game show "Blank It In" will be presented live.
As a part of WMCO weekend, "Blank It In" will be a live event where students may watch and be a part of the show as it is happening.
Producer and Director of "Blank It In" Jonathan "Duke" Williams has a number of responsibilities.
Williams and his crew are involved with pre-production tasks such as shooting promos and commercials, designing graphics for the show, conducting rehearsals and dress rehearsals and making sure that the show is ready to be recorded.
"It is a lot of work," said Williams. "But it is worth it. It's one of the most popular things we do on Orbit TV 9."
In the show, contestants and panelists are asked a question. The panelists write down an answer, and then the contestants give their answers. If the contestants' answer matches any of the panelists' answers then they get a point. The player with the most points at the end wins a prize. Some of the prizes include gift cards and other things from around New Concord.
Junior Alex Knisely was one of the panelists on the show last semester.
"Most of the time, they're funny answers," said Knisely. "But they have to line up [with the questions]."
The host of "Blank It In" is senior Eddie Jackson. He introduces the panelists and contestants, reads questions to the panelists and contestants and is also the final judge on whether an answer is a match.
"I never get nervous," said Jackson. "I love it."
For WMCO weekend, Blank It In is moving to the Chess Center. This upcoming Saturday night, "Blank It In" will be live in the bottom of the Chess Center.
Students can participate in the show as well as get information as to how they might become more involved with the show this semester.
The television show "Blank It In" will return to Orbit TV 9 later this semester. Last season's episodes can be viewed at orbitmediaonline.com.
