“Time, Wrap it up and move on to the next person,” is a quote commonly used in speed dating.
Speed dating, by definition, is a formalized matching process or dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people.
There have been claims that the Jewish people engage in speed dating a lot.
The truth to this is that they do and the biggest reason for this is that it was invented by a Jewish rabbi named Yaakov Deyo at the turn of the 20th century.
It is based on an old Jewish tradition that helped followers of the faith find their match, or “shidduch,” within the religion of Judaism.
There are a few highly advantageous experiences to take away from an event such as speed dating.
The main one is that everyone there is looking for one thing and one thing only: a mate.
So, everybody is interested in the same goal.
Another good advantage is that it takes all the guess- work and thinking of how to go about talking and approaching a certain member of the opposite sex.
All you do is simply go up to them, sit down and start your process of getting to know the person when the timer starts. There is also no face-to face rejection.
The greatest disadvantage is time. If you are not a great speaker or fast on your feet then this method of meeting people is not a recommended one.
But with this form, as with every other method of dating, you have to be able to communicate in order to get to know the person and obviously some, however very little, technique is involved.
Unfortunately, we do not have speed dating on campus, but it was attempted at Indiana State University with great success and minimal hassle to set up.
And after the whole routine of going from person to person, the night ended with duet karaoke filled with love songs and ballads.
So, speed dating would definitely be possible here at Muskingum College and would also be recommended. With so many students on campus, it is hard to get to know all of them. Despite the fact that many people meet others at parties, a number of singles do not party often or at the same places as you likely do.
Plus, this school needs a little spice in its activity recipe, so let’s do it, because it would be a fun-filled night. Moreover, if the college sets it up correctly, it should be extremely successful.
Rushing love
