This year's super bowl had a lot of hype surrounded by the two high-powered offensives between the Colts and the Saints.

Both teams led by two of the most admired guys in the league, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Other things talked about this week, was the ankle of Dwight Freeney, and would he be able to play.

How the play of Pierre Garcon would impact the game and how the first time Saints team would prove to the critics that they deserved to be in this super bowl.

The Saints had a lot to prove, seeing as though many people believed they got lucky beating Minnesota a few weeks ago.

People said that they were inexperienced and that their secondary was no match for Peyton Manning's schemes and his receiver's athleticism.

Pierre Garcon blossomed like a star this season and in the post season and seemed as though he would be a serious threat in the super bowl.

There were also questions around the coaching abilities of Saints coach, Sean Payton.

All week long the players had to deal with distractions from the media, answering questions about this and that, setting up family members with flight tickets and hotel stays and after all of that they still had to prepare for this big game every day with light sessions of practice.

So the question was how everyone was going to react. How would each team prepare this week, and would they be ready to play, comes game time.

I guess we all knew who was ready to play on Feb 7. I enjoyed the game a lot myself. I think the Colts came out strong and played well in the first half.

The Saints took advantage of the longer halftime because of the performance by the group, "The Who" and were able to execute better in the second half.

The big turnaround came, when they were able to recover the onside kick and score a few plays later, on a screen threw to Pierre Thomas.

The Saints played better defensive, which helped them get a pick by Tracy Porter, that was took back for a touchdown and sealed the deal.

The game was really good, but I'm more concerned about what this victory symbolizes.

I personally wanted the Saints to win just because I'm a fan of a few players like Reggie Bush, Drew Brees and Jonathan Vilma.

My main reason for wanting them to win the super bowl was so they could bring some excitement back to the city of New Orleans. I think the people down there are huge fans of sports, and with the Saints having so much success this year, I felt that a lot of people were depending on them to lighten the town up.

This win would give them a reason to be happy again. I always think about the Hurricane Katrina tragedy and just how four years ago, people were sleeping in the same stadium that the Saints play football in.

I feel that this super bowl win will give the people something to be happy about and something to talk about for a while. The victory over the Colts marked a renewal in the city of New Orleans.

I believe no matter whether, the saints ever win another super bowl, ever make it to the playoffs again, super bowl 44 will be remember forever by the people in New Orleans.

And I believe that good will comes out of every tragedy in life and for a long time I will chant the words, "WHO DAT."
