Competition comes to a close
Going head-to-head against one another, the Greeks on Muskingum’s campus battled it out to be number one in Greek Week. Greek Week was held from March 25 to March 30.
Auditions for radio dramas took place last Thursday in the Thompson Theatre. Professor of Theater Diane Rao and Assistant Professor of Communication Lisa Marshall and Marshall’s Advanced Audio Production class were in charge of judging the actors who were auditioning.

Lightning and thunder erupted during the second half of the South-Eastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra (SEOSO) concert held in Brown Chapel on Sunday evening. SEOSO is made up of 67 orchestra personnel and is conducted by SEOSO music director Laura E. Schumann, who is also a professor of music at Muskingum University.
Muskiepalooza, which will take place on April 21, is a carnival-like event where students can take part in different games and events and win prizes and other free items.

Muskingum University will celebrate its 175th anniversary this April. Since its doors opened in 1837, the university has witnessed triumph and sadness through the eyes of the campus and the world. From the day it was founded in 1837, Muskingum has inaugurated 20 presidents and has been the alma mater to several significant alums that have gained achievements in various fields from entertainment to technology. New academic buildings have been constructed, while Paul Hall, one of Muskingum's first buildings, whose history dates back 139 years, is still in existence. In 2009, Muskingum College said goodbye to the seniors and welcomed in the first freshmen into what is now called Muskingum University.

As the visitors arrived in the ’Thompson Theatre, one of the first sights was the overflowing orange shopping cart at centre-stage. Inside, a piñata, a case of Ramen Noodles, hotdog buns, and something purple and fuzzy were visible.
The Muskingum University Activities Fair was held on Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the John Glenn gym.

Muskingum University held its Convocation August 30 in the Recreation Center, officially kicking off the 2011-2012 academic year and celebrating the institutions 175th anniversary.
