As the 2011-2012 academic year continues and moves on to spring semester, students have been anxious to get back on board with classes.
One of the biggest assets Muskingum has to offer is the Student Success Center.
According to Student Success Center Coordinator Lisa Kasper, the center usually opens three weeks after the students are back.
In the fall, there was so much demand for tutors earlier in the semester that they decided to open up a week earlier, according to Kasper.
Kasper said she feels the students want to start the semester off right and ensure they don't get behind in classes, and this fueled the decision to open the Student Success Center early.
The Student Success Center is partnering up with some professors who offer extra credit for attending sessions during test times, explained Kasper.
The Student Success Center is also working on a new way to communicate with students by text messages and Facebook, allowing easier access to schedules, review sessions, and other resources that aid students.
The Success Center is located on the first floor of Patton hall near the lobby and offers tutors for all subjects.
The Student Success Center opens at 4 p.m. and is open to all undergraduate students.
Schedules for specific class offerings and tutoring times can also be found throughout the campus and in the residence halls.
