"Guys and Dolls" is coming to Muskingum University, but not in the way you might think.

To kick off WMCO Weekend, the Guys and Dolls Date Auction is returning on Thursday, Jan. 26.

The Streaming Scavenger Hunt for WMCO Weekend will conclude during the Date Auction; the prize for the scavenger hunt will be given out during this time.

The date auction is taking place at Kelley Coffeehouse beginning at around 10 p.m.

WMCO Sports Director Chelsea Kaunert, who is heading up the Date Auction, gave some clarification as to what the date auction really is.

"The date auction is a basic, simple concept of any sort of auction, but instead of buying a material item, you're buying a date with a person," said Kaunert.

Individuals from sororities, fraternities, and sports teams are all going to be up for bid during the date auction.

Both the highest bidder and the person up for bid will win a dinner or movie gift card that they can use, but the two individuals are not required to go together to the dinner or movie; they are allowed to go separately if they so choose.

If you are interested in being a part of the date auction, all you have to do is submit your name and a brief biography to Kara Niswonger (karan@muskingum.edu) or Chelsea Kaunert (ckaunert@muskingum.edu).
