On Jan. 27 WMCO radio is holding its first Chili Cook-off as a part of WMCO weekend.

"The Chili Cook-off is being held in the New Concord United Methodist Church here in the campus area and is open to all community members," said WMCO member Katie Simms.

The Chili Cook-off aims to unite both the community and campus.

"During WMCO Weekend we like to have an event where the community can come and be involved, really to show the community what WMCO is and to broadcast ourselves."

In order to sign-up for the WMCO weekend Chili Cook-off a contestant must enter by Friday, Jan. 27 at 12 p.m. Contact Katie Simms at ksimms@muskingum.edu

There will be a $5 fee per chili entry. Each contestant must bring at least three quarts* of chili, their own serving utensils and provide a list of their chili's ingredients for medical and allergy reasons.

WMCO will be providing the bowls and spoons.

Only the first 15 entries will be accepted.

Information on the Chili Cook-off is available at orbitmediaonline.com.

*Correction: previous articles and fliers advertised that WMCO was asking for 3 gallons of chili, but entries are only required to supply 3 quarts of chili.
