BEREA -- Kyle Brown knocked down six 3s as part of his game-high 25 points, and Baldwin-Wallace College bested visiting Muskingum 86-73 in the Ohio Athletic Conference Saturday.
Four Muskies (2-14 OAC, 7-16) reached double figures with Nick Hershberger's 22 leading the way. Cory Bourquin added 14, Kyle Clinedinst 11 with 10 rebounds and Seth Howard 10 markers.
The Yellow Jackets (8-8, 13-10) led from start to finish including an 18-5 advantage seven minutes into the contest. The Muskies pulled within three, 30-27, on Josh Brindley's layup late in the first half, but B-W outscored them 13-7 for a halftime lead of 43-34 and never let the cushion slip below eight in the second half.
Muskingum committed 19 turnovers to 12 by the Yellow Jackets and was outrebounded 32-24. The Muskies shot 48 percent (22 of 46) and made 24 of 28 at the line, but the Yellow Jackets were 49 percent (30 of 61) from the field, 9 of 17 behind the arc and an outstanding 17 of 19 at the charity line.
